Whats the crack dudes??

Well to get started I have 2 royal pythons (Romeo & Sebastian) (male i think), they are normals/regulars, although one does look a bit different from the other. And I can only guess they are a few years old as I didnt get them as babies.

I know some people will disagree with this but they are housed in the same viv, and they get on just fine without any problems :).

Ive been trying to check their gender, I've watched enough videos online but for some reason i still cant friggin do it lol - any tips would be appreciated. Im going to be posting some pictures up soon just to see if anyone can tell me if they are definitely just normals or what.

Well thats enough ranting guys, any advice feel free to post :)

OK so I just read the Topic re co habiting and I think may be I should consider separating them, only just beacuse I dont think I would be able to provide 4 different hides within the viv as there just wouldnt be enough room, and there was me thinking they just liked cuddling up together lol.

Well time to get the other viv out, but my partner wont be too happy with it lol

As above it would be advisable to get them sexed ASAP if you keep them together,, any reptile shop should be ableto do it for a couple of quid a snake or alternatively your local exotics vet will happily take a few notes off you to do it. They will need to be probed most likely if they arent babies, so don't try popping them you ahave no chance of beating their muscle tone down there without hurting them badly.
Although not the recommended way to keep snakes cohabiting is possible providing you know the risks and have a plan B should things go wrong. Plenty of info on it in the forum so I don't need to waffle through it all. Have a browse and make an informed decision.

Now you just need to finish the initiation and post some pictures, show off your serpents.

Hi, yeah I think I will take them to someone locally who has more experience in probing because I wouldnt want to risk hurting them.

I have got a spare viv just incase anything does go wrong or if either of them get sick. One thing I am curious about is that in the current viv where my royals are, I only have two hides, one on the warm side and one on the cooler side. They both actually fit in under it and seem happy enough, and are both the same size so I would imagine this would be ok too as neither seem to be dominating the other. They are both around 5 ft.

I also have a common boa constrictor, he's a bit aggressive but I think this was down to his last owner as again I got him when he was a few years old. Hes around 6 ft.

Im going to get some pictures up soon of all my dudes and their vivs too, just as soon as I get time.

Thanks for the advise so far guys and for the welcome :o)

Hi, I have had one for 3 years, and I would say it was probably a year or two old when I got it, I would guess they are possibly around 5 years old??

That would explain it then, do I need to consider probing now in order to check their gender??

HelloI and welcome looking forward to seeing some pics

The only thing is

Well you would have to makesure there both male or female you don't want one of each especially if the female is under the breeding weight because if she is
and they breed I can be very dangerouse for here
