We went into Elgin today to do some shopping and bought more than intended.

She is a four year old common Boa. We can't pick her up until the shops delivery of eight foot vivs arrive, in about three Weeks

Had to take the piccies through the glass as she was due a feed.

An eight foot viv... wow, now there's a challenge. I'm not even sure the rooms in my house have walls that long! X )

She looks pretty though, well done : )

We have a recess in our sitting room I was contemplating building an enclosure out of.
Still in the pondering stage.

It's 7'6'' x 2'6'' x 5' and it's got a ceramic bulb on the top plugged straight into mains and an AHS heater as well on the side

Pandora is soooooo huge. Love your set up for her. What are the dimensions and how do you heat it.
Baobab Posted - 16/08/2012 : 20:08:09
Fea is 4 feet now at 11 months.
Kelfezond Posted - 16/08/2012 : 20:07:13
Pandora is just over 8ft I think (though it's been a long time since I measured her, video idea!) but I doubt she'll grow much more as she's I think 7 years old
Baobab Posted - 16/08/2012 : 20:05:33
Yeah, I was thinking nine as a max. Hopefully
chrisc Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:58:55
8 or 9ft seems to be the average for female boas but dont get them over 10ft that often.
think my female may get faily large as shes 3ft something an only 9 months old, need to post some decent pics of her now shes mite free
Kelfezond Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:49:37
Would be very impressive to see her at 11ft! Will be a handful
Baobab Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:47:49
Not exactly sure of her current size. If had to guess, just over six feet. The shop reckon she'll grow to nine to eleven feet. Plus as she has been used to this size viv, we thought we'd keep her in one.

Woohoo we can be BCI buddies :D

I am still in a state of shock, Steve is not one to make decisions so fast, especially when a good deal of cash and animals are involved. It'll take a day to sink in that she is ours :)
chrisc Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:34:19
8ft? how big is she?
Baobab Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:30:57
Thanks guys, just disappointed we couldn't hold her today. Its an hours drive up there. Just got find room for an eight foot viv.
chrisc Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:25:34
yep definatly BCI, congrats shes a gorgeous boa
Baobab Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:20:26
Just showing my ignorance here, but I think BCI as she's a common Boa. Is t BCC the red tailed Boa.
Kelfezond Posted - 16/08/2012 : 19:06:16
Woohoo! Is she a BCI or BCC? O.o
Lotabob Posted - 16/08/2012 : 18:55:51
