Introducing Eowin. We've just picked her up after waiting for several weeks due to me being away and waitin for her viv to arrive.
Everybody had to have a cuddle before she went into her new viv.
And her new viv 6*3*3 left fairly empty as unfortunatly she came with some little friends (mites). But the shop gave us acouple of sprays to continue treating her and the viv if need be.
We are all chuffed to bits with her. Beautiful temperament. Just going to have to be careful not to pass the little beasties onto the other snakies. |

congrats shes a lovely big girl, do you know how long she is?
glad she ate an hopefully will be free of mites soon.
boas are great at trashing vivs all i put in with mine are bits of wood to climb on |

Right day two and she was overdue a rat by about three days. Dragged her out of her bath for quick cuddle while we checked her for mites. Mostly dead but still a couple alive. Can't respray until Tuesday, so replaced her newspaper (she'd finished the crossword) and her water dishes. Put her back in and offered a rat which was taken quickly, so good news there at least.
Later on e heard a crash. In a moment of stupidity I had strung some vine along the ceiling, which I thought would be out of reach. She had climbed onto it, which then couldn't take her weight so she came crashing down from about two and a half feet. Luckily she was ok, so I won't be hanging that up there again. |

We got the viv through the shop we get Eowyn from AJ. We could have got it cheaper from homes 4 reptiles but would rather support our local shop.
But not for long Carl.

Looking forward to picking my baby dwarfs up next week didn't think id ever be able to get a boa until i found out there were smaller breeds apparently they both fit in one hand at the min |

Cheers guys. We had to wait just over three weeks to pick her up. Felt like twelve. Brings back being a kid waiting for Christmas.
Just been told off for misspelling her name. Its Eowyn. |

Nice looking big Boa, I do have a soft spot for Boas.
Thats some large sized vivarium. You'd be as well to just put it on the ground, getting a big snake in and out will be a challenge as it is and if it whips its tail round the centre piece it will all be dragged on top of you before you can get enough hands free to stop it. |

She's got quite a grip RM.
I didn't picture in my mind just how big the viv was going to be. That'll help with the viv heating, as long as the radiator doesn't fall off the wall lol. |
