Went to Rosies today to pick up my royal and whilst i was there i got her to get out all her other snakes...and took some photos of some of them...

I could quite easily have brought home several...

This is Sid her rosy boa, and he is gorgeous, but feels very different to a royal, does not feel like a snake when you hold him..lol..

and again with my youngest son, he loved him to.

Then we met her very very friendly monitor...he was gorgeous

Then we met a whole host of corns, i got to see my royal egg that we both think is female cos it is so big...first time i ever saw it..

Met her female Dumerils, and a couple of other Boas..

and then Batty a really stunning snake, but had just fed so could not hold him but here he is

This was one of the snakes i wanted, he was gorgeous and still only a baby...my son wanted him to, but his size would have been a problem here

He is a young Burmese Python and the camera does not even begin to show how stunning he was

I could not get my son away from him..he was a smashing snake..

and finally the little guy i wanted to bring home..

he had not been looked after, very thin, stunted growth from not being fed, and he melted my heart because he was so sweet..

I dont like Boas that much, but i loved him loads..Rosie has done a fantastic job with him

Then i had to leave, i managed to come home with one royal..

and Paulus, the rat snake i picked up was not bitey just had not been handled and was absolutley gorgeous, Rosie may have posted a pic of him on the dark side...he is a special snake;-)

Thats it...

Not great photos, but the snakes were awesome...

Always nice to see other peoples collections. You always seem to like something that never appealed to you before. It`s a much nicer way to see and handle other species than in a pet shop. You certainly seemed to have enjoyed your dayand so did your wee son by the looks of it.

It was great thanks Deborah, my son was talking about that burm for ages..
