I've been waiting a few days for this as she has been laying her moulting mat but finally it has begun.
Leaning over to one side, legs all in the wrong place, carapace splitting. I'm going to hopefully document it bit by bit as its a slow process. |

One day on, moving around doing his stretches, lol. It's amazing how much bigger he is. Stood next to a medium exoterra hide all curled up gives an idea of his scale,

very cool pic's i got to see my salmon pink moult a while back an it's in pre moult again.
yes does look male to me cant see the female flap bit between the book lung's, couldn't tell with mine as the abdomen was all screwed up but hopefully will be able to tell next time |

There we go, all done, poor thing.
I've never for to one so quickly that the abdomen was still moist (yuk) and with some gentle persuasion I straightened it out. Lol. I think ( and please anyone better at this than me tell me if I'm wrong) this also shows she is a HE as he has no female bits.

I'm scared. Based on the carapace now it's about 40% longer, and she hasn't pumped herself up after the moult yet.
Epic long spinnerettes, she is almost fully out, she should now roll fully onto her back and I should be able to retrieve the moult providing she isn't laying on it. If you get to it before it dries out you can stretch it out straight. |
