It wasn't the musking precisely though would prefer to avoid that ...eww! You've probably seen this vid, but apparently when hoggies play dead they emit the stench of rotting flesh, just to be realistic ...and this is a very small house ...

Mind you, all snakes make smells; they're worse than cats but it's something you never consider when purchasing that first cute corn hatchling lol.

They are very laid back, especially the albinos. Never had any musking or playing dead from any any of them.

I was musked on by our old female, and it was disgusting!!! Like an old musty kinda smell but worse!!! Hopefully this lot won't do it

LOL - I've already GOT something different .... the terrible Zissssska!

But really am falling in love with hoggies ...only one thing puts me off and that is their habit of emitting a terrible smell when they're spooked by something and play dead ...is that much of a problem with pet hoggies? The ones in the pics look pretty laid back ...lovely little guys.

Lol, Boomslang, if only ...

Sadly, no more snakes atm - as with thousands of other people the DWP are changing me over from incapacity benefit to something much reduced and making me jump through hoops for even that ...we're managing ok but not the time for any more snakes, although I'd make room for a rescue, almost did a while back ...(sorry about personal stuff on your thread D3l.)

But if better times come, hoggies are high on my wishlist!
