Posted - 11/02/2012 : 00:48:30 Not a lot to see if I'm honest but this is the tubs I use, they are tesco specials and I use a 2mm drill bit to drill holes in the lid mainly but I also put some holes in at floor level for better circulation (until they bury them).
So this is the inside of the tub the day I put Sam in.
And as it is tonight.
Entrance to burrow is huge
Almost the whole of one side of the tub has this burrow dug out, I'm not even sure how the soil is held up right now.
And this is the view you get of a Juvenile Salmon Pink (currently munching away on a cricket).

Posted - 11/02/2012 : 00:56:11 No not really, they build their burrows well and the soil was very well packed in, they also lightly line their burrow with silk so I think that does help hold it together but its constantly been changed and expanded so fingers crossed if she goes all chilean miner on me she can dig herself out. |

Posted - 11/02/2012 : 00:51:59 You dont need to spend ages setting them something nice as they will destroy it just somewhere to hide and something to dig in is enough. |
