got one more guinea pig left then will get some big rats or small rabbits an space his feedings out to 2 or 3 weeks as have been reading its better to give a bigger meal every couple of weeks rather than feed an adult boa weekly |

Posted - 22/05/2012 : 06:12:38 i do feed with tongs, not brave/stupid enough to hand feed him yet. he makes me jump as you dont see the strike coming at all. the guinea pigs are only 250g ish but hes been getting one each week but will get some huge rats on payday for him |

Posted - 21/05/2012 : 22:55:22 I would never be able to do that with my boa, I use 1ft tongs, if she strikes she is so powerful makes me stumble. Although a bit of that stumble is her scarring the crap out of me. Some times I just leave it in and she comes over and eats at her own leisure. she ate last night 470gm rat. How much do guniea pigs weigh, as the largest rat I have weighs 650gms it's gigantic. |
