hey im sorry if this has been covered before but i looking for answers and this site always helps me out ;)

i have had a baby red tail she is now 1..5ft long so i have moved to a bigger viv and the only heat source i can get hold of is a 100w infa red bulb which is kicking out great heat but is the infared dangerous for the boa??? i have a ceramic bulb coming tuesday :)
