Posted - 16/01/2013 : 15:07:32 My 6 ft boa last week got fed a medium mouse. As I'm trying to feed him little n often to help gain weight as I'm worried he will regurgitate.
He feeds by drop feeding and he picks it up quite well himself. But I fed him this week on a small rat weaned as shop had nothing else. And I mean nothing else. And he just seemed to look at it nose to nose for about ten minutes and then slithers off.
His last owner said he ate rats no problem. But since the mouse he rushed for he not bothered.
He looks under weight and I can't seem to feed him
Any ideas |

Posted - 16/01/2013 : 21:14:16 I'm trying to feed little n often. So I no he is feeding. I wanna make sure he's taking something instead of nothing and feed him a mouse every 4/5 days. Instead of big meals. |

Posted - 16/01/2013 : 20:18:42 I can sometimes leave the the rat in the viv for several hours, she will sit on the rat resting her head on it for ages before she eats. Have you tried rats since, I think a medium mouse for a 6ft boa even on the thin side is not a great meal. Maybe worth trying something a little larger. |

Posted - 16/01/2013 : 18:43:44 No I put it in the middle were he usually feeds from. He doesn't mess around when feeding but this time he didn't take it. Left in there for a good few hours n he just seems to wrap himself up next to it lol
Should I put in cold end? |
