I wandered into my reptile shop I use. To buy some bark for my tanks. Only to find a lady with a very strange pet. I had to double take lol

At first I thought that's a strange looking cat on a lead. Only to look again and see she was a finally cuddling a...

SKUNK. Yes. A skunk. It had been degassed or whatever. Stick a large pump machine up its rear I assume.

Anyone else have heard or own a strange pet?

A pet shop near me gets unusual animals in they've had silver foxes, palm civets and porcupines in recently but they have meerkats at the minute they are so cute

Shop near me owns afew,Think they breed them too.Not really looked into it,or asked them hehe.

But seen alot of the more strange pets around.

Skunks are hard to come by now as the op they need to remove the scent gland can be fatal and chances are high(or so I've been told) so any that get sold now Will more than likely still have the stink maker in place lol

ye skunks are amazing!! not like a dog where they will have companionship with you, but can be quite fun to sit and watch and they will tolerate a cuddle. we have one that comes into our college with one of the tutors. he also has a very nice 9ft boa, a lovely coati and a nice 4ft bosc

Yeah I no. I was like what the hell. Even the reptile guys in the shop hadn't seen it before. They were a little thrown back lol.

Could you imagine if it did grow back n dropped one lmao hilarious. Love to be a fly on the wall

A Skunk!! Are you serious? How the hell do you de-smell a Skunk..lol
When I was in Canada I smelt one of those things. The guy who owned the lodge we stayed in hit one in his car & apparently the car would have to be scrapped as the smell was now embedded in it! 1 after smelling it I didn't disbelieve him.
