Hi guy's, have moved now and got a huuugggeee garden and was thinking of getting a tortoise, it would be going out through the day on fine days and in a tort table at night and when the weather is a bit crappy. Just wondered if anyone else have horsefield's, that can give me a few pointer's. Ta scott.

Not got torts - but we are picking a breeding couple of horsefields up on Saturday. So we can share experience as we get it.
The Dark Side has a very good section on tortoises that may be worth a look at if you haven't already...

http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/shelled-turtles-tortoise/

until we get some experience and maybe build at tort site, there are so many good ones it probably isn't worth it.

http://www.tortoise-world.com/ is a great site with a good forum too - will be joining up ourselves when we get Speedy and Slow Poke

Good to hear that you're getting sorted Scott. I'm afraid my tortoise knowledge is from the 1970's bung it in the garden and feed it scraps era . Was it my offer of help after the fire that made you move further north then .

its a local breeder, its the last of his cb07's so a good age for going in the garden.

was thinking only recently that we'd not heard from you Scott

just FYI, i've been advised that there's a dodgy batch of CB09 Horsfields around, just like the batch of CF08 royals that all died last year

hope yours is from a reliable source
