Just wondered if anyone else have horsefield's, that can give me a few pointer's. Ta scott. |

won't be able to tell untils/he's about 4 years old, been told the easiest way is by the size of their tail, long and thick for a boy short and stubby for a girl lol

Posted - 28/05/2009 : 14:06:06 Not got torts - but we are picking a breeding couple of horsefields up on Saturday. So we can share experience as we get it. The Dark Side has a very good section on tortoises that may be worth a look at if you haven't already...

until we get some experience and maybe build at tort site, there are so many good ones it probably isn't worth it.
http://www.tortoise-world.com/ is a great site with a good forum too - will be joining up ourselves when we get Speedy and Slow Poke

Posted - 28/05/2009 : 14:01:45 Good to hear that you're getting sorted Scott. I'm afraid my tortoise knowledge is from the 1970's bung it in the garden and feed it scraps era . Was it my offer of help after the fire that made you move further north then . |

Posted - 28/05/2009 : 12:42:42 was thinking only recently that we'd not heard from you Scott
just FYI, i've been advised that there's a dodgy batch of CB09 Horsfields around, just like the batch of CF08 royals that all died last year
hope yours is from a reliable source |
