Hi all have been thinking and reading up about water dragons and collared lizards thinking about getting one or the other. does any one have either that could give me a bit more advice. on which they think would be best?

cheers. well going to save the water dragon for another year. trading one of my many aquariums and some fish, for a 6ftx3ftx2ft stack. made up up if 3x3ft vivs and 2x1.5ft vivs. and two beardies.uvb, heat mats and spots. ( good trade )Also picking up a turtle and another hamster next week.
will have to build an extension soon |

Try converting a old cabinet/wardrobe to make a viv, thats wot i did and am doing again for my stack...
have you had a look on here?

Mine was a biggy. 5ft high, with a floor area of 6ft x 4ft. Just checked on my care guide from when I had them. |

what size viv to you keep yours in? having been chasing a few prices for vivs . biggest industry standard one seems to be 4x3x2.
I can get one order built sealed , spot lamps uvb lights etc plus green/chinese water dragon for £215. which would probably work out cheaper than building my own which i have down for the snakes. |

Can't really offer advice on which are best, as I've never had collard. However, I did have a trio of water dragons and they were great fun and fairly easy to keep. They are prone to rubbing their noses/ stotting their heads of the glass if their enclosure is too small and this can lead to health problems. |

yeah i guess something like that. Ideally when i grow up ( as i am only 30 now married with kids) i would love to have a small pet/reptile store. you know a really good one where the person selling you the animals actually knows what they are talking about and can give really good sound advice. So the more experience i can gain the better!!!.
with rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, degus, tropical fish, frogs, snakes, and a dog in the house now i think I'm well on the way,LOL |
