Just been to my local rep shop and he was in the middle of feeding one of his venomous. He shut up the room to serve me my 200 locusts (he hates me!). As I was leaving again, all I heard was 'Ah, no!'. Maybe I should call and make sure he's still alive?

So, what's the most interesting or unusual thing your local shop has?

You've nothing to worry about the climate in the UK means these spiders only survive on the south coast, everywhere else is safe.

LOL!

This is sweet ...honestly I'm not posting it to spook any arachnophobes ... it's actually an account of an arachnophobe learning to appreciate spiders, oh and it wasn't feral, despite the link title. Kelf you can sleep in peace!

Now I'm all for spiders, but after being haired and then bitten by one, ill leave them in the shop! I would LOVE a cobalt blue though ;)

I've always been fascinated by cobras, so much so I've always though about keeping falsies. Not much is known about their venom though, so I'm not risking it yet.

Aww Kelf you know I love you!

No way are you going to wake up to find a valuable beastie like an OBT in your room - you've about as much chance of discovering an extra mojave or spider (oops not spider!) pastel, say, under your pillow ...

Those tarantulas are awesome though ...

I don't often go into my local shop but they have a huge range of spiders, including these ...

Orange baboon tarantula, otherwise known as OBT - orange bitey thing. Not for beginners, alas, but if I ever got into spiders, this is the one I'd REALLY want ...
