Sorry to hear you haven't found her yet.

Could she have got out of the room where her viv is? I was just thinking of the kitchen with warm backs of appliances, freezer etc - just the kind of place a snake might roost at this time of year.

Do hope you find her soon, fingers crossed!

Cheers everyone. Hoping she will go for one of them will be a bonus if she does lol not ate for couple of months since I got her

no you dont need to cut the beak an legs off as long as the snake is big enough to take. chick. my sister has a small corn that wont eat anything apart from chick but has the legs cut off just to make it smaller.
hope you find your snake soon

I'm not sure on the but I think that's another trick for a problem feeder, offering chick thighs lol. So I read anyway. But I wouldn't of thought breaking the legs necessary imo

Still no sign of snake so just been out and got a rat fluff and a chick to see if the differrnt scents attract her. I have read on another website that u have to cut beak and legs off chick is that true or a load of rubbish lol

In what ever room she's in have a look round and think where is the last place you'd think she'd go cause she's probably there watching and laughing lol

I think someone should invent tracking devices for snakes be so much easier to find them lol

LOL - all corns are!

That's a good idea about the tinfoil - all the best for tonight.
jbarlow91 Posted - 07/02/2012 : 14:32:44
Still not turned up gonna put tinfoil down on floors tonight and sleep downstairs see if she comes out. She always was a sly bugger
jbarlow91 Posted - 06/02/2012 : 21:12:54
Gonna try the flour trick tonight lol see if that works. Tried everywhere can think of tried cutting bottom of sofa to see if she is in there still no joy
ajokocha Posted - 06/02/2012 : 13:52:49
Shell turn up. I remember one time when I lost mine, I got it out to handle for a bit and like a total plank I fell asleep :o. I searched everywhere possible, washing basket, behind the tv, in the sofa, everywhere. I put down paper with flour on it to see if any tracks would be left overnight. I looked on the computer through various forums looking for people that had escapees and where they had found them. Then I came across some guy that simply said stop looking, it will turn up. So I took that advice and sat down in my room and put a dvd on and low and behold I spotted her. Casually chilling along the top of my door frame! How she got up there I'll never know! I guess the moral of the story is check absolutely everywhere, no matter how silly it may seem, and of course, don't get your snake out of you're tired lol. Good luck buddy :)

Ah, sorry to hear.

So she's a big lass then, but as you'll know, it's amazing the tiny spaces they can stuff themselves into. But when she comes out to roam about, hopefully she'll announce her presence. Really hope you find her soon - good luck!

Still no luck left mouse out over night but was still there this morning. How can a 5ft snake b so hard to find lol. Gonna have to have words when I find her I think!

2 litre bottle, cut the top off around 3 inches down. Invert so the neck is inside the boy. Chuck some food in there and stick it where you think she cold be.
They don't stray far. Everytime mine have got out they have been within 6 foot of the viv. Thankfully they are all too big now.

Hi - don't know if you've seen this over on TCS?

http://www.thecornsnake.co.uk/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12170

It's a sticky on ways to trace an escaped corn.

If your girl's anything like my adults, it's getting to that time of the year when the girls get horny and go on the rampage, which could well be why she's not eating - my lot don't either.

They're a lot more trouble than royals in the mating season, but have to love them!

All the very best, hope you find her soon!
