Posted - 23/04/2012 : 14:34:42 I must confess - I'm more bothered about the hair flicking than being bitten - it must feel like you've grabbed a cactus - ouch! Good tip about the sticky tape for getting them out though.
Also, while the cats have the run of the house, I really daren't have a tarantula - if it flicked hairs at me that would be my own lookout, but if it got loose and flicked hairs at one of the cats I'd never forgive myself ...
I will just have to admire other people's spides instead. |

Posted - 23/04/2012 : 13:12:03 thanks. shes a chilean rose tarantula an they are unlikely to bite. when threatened the flick hairs or will hold thier front legs up to warn you off |

Posted - 20/04/2012 : 15:00:46 When I went to buy Sulah, there was an adult male tarantula in the rep room (don't know what sort; he was chocolate coloured and huge) and when they lifted another faun off his tank he was straight out to see what was going on; very inquisitive; beautiful guy. |

Posted - 18/04/2012 : 07:38:14 i used to hate spiders but not to bothered by her now. thats one reason why i took her on to get over my slight fear of spiders. yes very easy to keep fresh water an a cricket now an then, job done |
