I'm sorry to say that dear little Casper died last night, the shop owner has offered me a choice of another snake..but which?

He has a few corn snakes of various ages
Bull Snake
Hoggie

Which would be the best for handling?

Thanks

As you probably already know, I went with the Beauty Snake :) Hubby's fault as i'd kinda settled on the Everglades Rat..he was a sweetie.

Pity I can't enter him in this months pic comp...geez the lad can telescope LOL he can only be about 18" long if that, but he stood up straight and reached the top of the headboard..almost his own length with no effort.

Sorry to hear - RIP Casper.

If you want a docile snake, yes, another corn, or a housie.

Pits (bulls, gophers, pines) seem to vary in temperament. My Shadrach is totally soppy, only hisses if I let go of his mouse too slowly. Carpets are supposedly feisty, though I've yet to see it with Sulah (she only struck at me when I was messing about with her bedding on mite spraying day; other than that she's been totally laid back.)

Never met a hoggie but as Chris says, they're little characters.

Hope you choose the right snake for you.

Awww poor Casper. At least what time he did have was with someone who loved and doted on him.

Bull's are awesome snakes but they get quite large and extremely strong but as you have a Boa that wont be a problem though they are known for their attitude too but I think that gives them character.

Hoggies look like poops rolled in sand in my opinion but they do have cute little faces, they are much smaller than a bull but they pack their own little attitudes too but they are all bark no bite (maybe the odd head butt, musk and poop flinging).

If it was me I'd go for the bull or get another corn snake as I just love their dopey docile nature though Spot at the moment has girls on the mind so his dopeyness has gone and has been replaced with dogged determination to roam makes an interesting fight when handling lol.
