Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:24:55 Does the same rule apply to cornsnakes as it does to royals 10-15% of there body weight or is there something different and how often should a young snake be fed? I think i remember seeing bats post a guide for royals feeding frequency for weight groups is there something similar for corns? Just want to make sure im feeding lumi correctly. Thanks Carl |

Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:42:48 Same as Lotabob, Ive always gone by size not weight. 1.5 times the width of the snake max and so long as there is a visable bump after feeding (assuming its not adult) then all good |

Posted - 03/07/2012 : 21:30:56 The guide for corn snakes is the mouse should be no more than 1.5 times their girth. Not sure how that works in relation to mouse weights, I've always just gone by size. Quite unnerving though at first watching an animal eat another animal that is bigger than it is. |
