Yesterday I took Gimli out as I do most mornings, but after I returned him I had left the glass door open by about an inch. Anyway later that evening I looked in and no Gimli.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and one is full of boxes and stuff! We turned it upside down but no sign of him. Of course at night he settles in somewhere and sleeps, so we gave up.

This morning Steve looked under every box, pulled wardrobes out..still no sign..that left our bedroom!

After pulling stuff out, Steve found him under the bed, the headboard..so now a cold Gimli is under his lamp being warmed!

I shall never do that again..I really thought i'd lost him as they can't survive as long as snakes without food.

Maybe he was trying to get back to the kingdom of the dwarfs.

I'mm just hoping she isn't internally injured. Luckily the stuff in her tub is deliberately as light as is possible just in case an accident occurs I just didn't think it would be me been an idiot that would be the cause. I moved her tub off Sam's tub then wnet to move Sam's tub out of the vivarium they are kept in and heard something fall off. I didn't realise I had moved a similar tub containing the mealworm and left Trixie's sitting on top. I just hope she doesn't keel over, I've only just got her feeding again.

Thanks Chris :)

Cheers Rob, oh my that must have been a dreadful few hrs with Trixie, especially as spiders aren't really that tough. I am glad she's ok, and i'm hoping she goes from strength to strength. I am sure she will tho :)

oooh naughty Gimli taking himself for a walk. If it makes you feel any better last night I tried (and very nearly succeeded) in killing Trixie. I dropped her box it landed upside down and squished her under a piece of bark. I could have cried. I fully expected her to be dead, I freed her and she was very very still, I picked her up (decided if I had to be bit to check her then I would just have to be bit) and checked her over and she was in tact, she started to move but not anything like normal, I sorted out her box and put her back somewhere dark and didnt sleep all night worrying about her. She is almost back to normal this evening, I think she is hurt but not seriously.
