Posted - 01/01/2013 : 16:05:50 Since im not using my vivexotic vivs anymore i decided to convert 1 into a 8 x 4lt Rub Rack, will be using 17" x 6" heat mats in the back ontop of some old underfloor insulator i found in the garage ;P
Dont plan on finishing until the new Habistat thermostat comes out, and plan to fix it in nicely on the panel below the bottom shelf all nice and flush and perty looking (http://i1251.photobucket.com/albums/hh557/jebus999/66413_391593674259378_536569033_n_zpsf6a293ee.jpg )
Just cant help myself building stuff these days :( |

Posted - 12/01/2013 : 08:44:15 Looks great. Thanks for the tip of putting the thermostat probe in a channel under the mat, i was trying to think of a way to do it as i didn't want to put the probes in the rubs when i make a rack |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 19:22:52 Cheers! Could have been from them, cant remember exactly lol. Ive tested them against the £12 exo-terra 1's and they give the same readings give or take .2 of a degree, and for 1/5 the price... cant complain :) |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 14:18:35 Well finally got around to adding the thermostat, cba waiting for the new habistat 1 so just got the good old fashion pulse proportional, still a few bits'n'bobs left to do like add all the little temp probs to each box, but that just takes patience...
I plan to do each of the little RUB's like this,
The probe for the thermostat I placed underneath the heat mat on the 2nd shelf, I carved out a little channel in the wood so the probe would sit in snugly below the heat mat, then taped it to the underside of it, so far its keeping the temps great! Really pleased with the outcome.... now what to do with it...
