ok so i pick this up last summer and has been sitting in the garage
yesterday i thought i better make a start as the pin and pastel have been locking (fingers crossed)
im going to seal it with aquarium sealant to make sure its sealed
got 4 pc fans coming that will be hooked up to 2 maybe 4 ac chargers
(all depends on how fast they turn)
2 glass thermometers
heat mats at the bottom
the fridge have a hole already in it so thats sorted out how to get the pulse stat probe in and wires out
then il seal the hole up
and wait and see what sort of temp im getting all over the incubator

Nothing wrong with poly boxes ;)
I'll be using them next year with the hoggies eggs :)

hi mate
ive had it running with the lower powered ac adapter to turn the fans
and the tubs are going between 88f-90f
tried the tubs on the right side and middle just going to test the left should be ok though as its all the same
really happy with it
but only time will tell
i need some eggs ;)
ive hatched cresties eggs but that was in a poly box

Looking good mate so I take it everything is in working order? can you pretty much keep it at any temp you want? |

I would have thought there wont be any cold air as in the incubator it will all be hot air
I've been asking about it on another forum and he had 4 in his
One blowing up ,down , side , side
I've never built one before so it's trial and error until I'm happy with it I won't use it
I have quite some time at the moment |

Not that I have built a incubator yet, but would it not be more stable with just two fans, one at the top and one at the bottom. I guess the top should suck air in and blow out from the bottom. If it sucks out from the top, then your contsantly drawing in cold air and blowing out the hot? |

There 12 v and I get a gental breeze
There no way running at full power
If it is to much when I start the tests I have another ac adapter that's running them much slower
It's all trial and error at the moment
So will see |

have you dropped the voltage to slow the fans down to a gental breeze? At full speed they may move too much air to allow for a stable temp |

thanks, she seems to be quite up for it, he just seems to be lazy and staying in the warm hide. fingers crossed for both of us |

Yea Danny my female was wagging her tail but the old boy wouldn't give up and after about 30 hours she gave into him
So having a rest for 4 days now then play time again lol

looks good. i was guna go down this route, but decided that i couldnt be bothered searching for a cheap fridge considering o only have one pair at the moment, so have a poly box instead.
and congrats on the locks, had mine together since sunday afternoon, and nothing. shes been tail wagging, but he seems to be either disinterested or just doesnt know what to do  |
