Hi there,
I wanted to ask something.
How often should i be feeding my 12-13 week old royal, we were told at the shop every 7 days but im not so sure that this is correct,
I have noticed some people on here feeding every 2-3 days,
I want to get this right so will ask here as you are all experienced keepers of snakes,
any adcive would be greatly appreciated,

im sticking to every 5 days too, im going to offer her 2 mice tomorrow as she was definatly looking for another mouse when we fed her on thursday but i hadnt thawed 2 and didnt really want to do it in water lol, will see how we get on, all i know is she seems healthy so hopefully things will be fine growth wise, as i said im just an anxious new mum lol. |

Seems a strange topic this, as I was told every 7 days or so by the place I bought my royal from. Also I've been recommended every 7 days by a shop I really trust and they really know there stuff but he also said there's no hard and fast rule which is true as it would be in the wild. My royal is about 140 grams so I feed every 5 days but I've left it 7 if she has ate 2 in one sitting.
I think 2-3 is too often IMO as they need some time to digest the food surely? Every 5 seems to work well for me and she hasn't missed a feed since her first so I'll stick with that. As long as she keeps her triangular shape and doesn't look fat I can't see a problem with it. |

feed 10/15% of the snakes weight in food
0-400g every 5 days
400-800g every 7 days
800-1200g every 10 days
1200g + every 14 days
hope i got it right trying to remember from memory |
