will just be nosey of the smells coming in through the gap i'd imagine.
Stewy-C- Posted - 31/07/2012 : 12:53:39
The gap must be about 3mm, which won't be a problem. I have handles on all my vivs, which leaves a gap of about 3-4mm. I have never had a problem once the wedges are in.

Is the snake paying particular attention to this area because he can feel the cool air? Are the temps spot on? None of mine have ever payed attention to the gap tbh.

Lol yeah drill it or put it through the vent :)
boomslang Posted - 31/07/2012 : 01:18:26
If you don't want to drill stuff,it has vents right ? Just cut a small hole there. They should come out to.
Pythonwizard Posted - 31/07/2012 : 00:05:06
Hahha no sense of measure
boomslang Posted - 30/07/2012 : 23:56:29
Haha what bob said,or drill a hole for all the wires etc.Or make a small hole in a vent.If the viv has any vents.
Lotabob Posted - 30/07/2012 : 23:41:58
HAHA typical man, 5mm is an inch.

Just leave the whole thermometer in the vivarium and close the door properly to avoid scuffing up his nose.

Drill a hole for that wire in the wood. doesn't.look like an inch either

Yeah why is there a gap at the end of the viv?No viv should have inches of gaps on each side.Mesh topped vivs have a small gap for wires etc.
Stewy-C- Posted - 30/07/2012 : 22:42:44
Why is there a half inch gap? What viv is it?

The snakes head would more than likely fit in a half inch gap. Which means it will be able to pry the glass open when his heads in.

Got pics?
badwool Posted - 30/07/2012 : 22:18:23
replace the glass?
Pythonwizard Posted - 30/07/2012 : 21:43:33
So just red over it meself doesn't make no sense

In his viv the glass as about half an inch space at the end and he keeps trying to get out

Can you re-explain this? I don't get the problem... O.o might be slow
