Longest for one of mine was around 3 months (My Pinstripe 'Stripy'), she was young and was losing condition. It scared the *bleep* out of me! She's fine now though, thank goodness!

My Adult female normal 'Lily' just took her first feed with us this week. We'd had her 2 months and it was starting to bother me, I feel much happier now!

The feeding issues are the only thing I don't like about keeping Royals! The constant 'will they, won't they'. I'm getting more relaxed about it with experience though.

Yup Kelfezond, I think Scar takes the Gold medal for fasting!

He does, little git. I'm beyond worrying now though, I've decided he's lasted 9 months with a couple of snakey protein shakes, and he's not losing weight. He's active and loves a cuddle, so I'll just keep offering and keep an eye on his weight and at some point I'm sure he'll surprise me by eating. Just a shame the Corn isn't big enough to eat his cast-offs.

Haha they do that ^^
Lincsfox Posted - 16/08/2012 : 10:01:30
he initially went down from 1100g to 967g but which was when I took him to the vets, but he's only lost 30g in the last 4 months.

I have tried everything, all sizes of mice and rats, chicks, assisting, live, the little bugger just isn't interested in the slightest.

That's a long fast, Linc' he lost much weight?
Lincsfox Posted - 15/08/2012 : 15:26:25
My Monty has been fasting since last November, he's had a couple of "ready meals" from the vet but refuses to take anything, even tried assisting but he regurged it.

I've had bloods done and there is no abnormailities, so I've decided to just offer every 2-3 weeks now and he'll eat when he's ready.

Bloody nerve racking though!

Go Diablo lol I recently made the decision to feed my big Het Albino a live as he hadn't eaten since early this year, a bit drastic as he's over a kilo but he took it so made me feel a lot better knowing he'd had a little bite

Can change this now :D Last night Diablo took a small rat :)
Kelfezond Posted - 09/08/2012 : 15:40:31
Depends on the weight and age, if he's old I offer every 2-3 weeks, if he's young I offer every 1 - 2 weeks :)
