Hi my guys always had a very small amount of retained shed on his head since I got him. Should I be worried about this? He has only shedded once since I got him and he's still quite young.

Thank you

The first shed my girl had was terrible even after using moss, a damp flannel and moving the water bowl to the hot end. This time I waited until the eyes went clear after she went blue and then put her in a bucket of water that only just covered her body. She wasn't too happy at first but if I stroked her she settled and I kept her there for ten minutes. I did that each day until she shed and this one was perfect.

Just up the humidity,by using moss or giving it a spray.

put sphagnum moss into his hide AFTER he comes out of blue also -

the head shed has came off after his most recent shed.

however, he now has a small amount of retained shed on his tail.

humidity in the new exo-terra faunarium is awful. it looks great and i have applied the silver heat tape but this hasnt improved humidity greatly. is there anything else i can do?

If it's not on his eyes he should be fine, personally if it's a friendly snake I take a cotton bud and some warm water and gently rub the shed off
