Posted - 14/09/2012 : 18:23:40 Hi, I have been in contact with somone who is selling piebalds and albinos very cheap and can FedEx them to me within 24 hours, I believe they may be based in south Africa, has anyone done this before? Sounds too good to be true.
I believe this person is not a breeder but some who supplies the pet trade, would there be any import charges? If it is FedEx could it be that they don't list it as an animal when they send? They also said they will send me the snakes after receiving 40% of the price then I will pay the rest on receiving.
Any EXPERIENCED advice would be greatly aprecieted, thanks |

Like all things in life, if it sounds too good to be true then it most likely is. As the others have said, avoid, avoid, avoid.

Posted - 14/09/2012 : 19:29:39 We're talking 20% of a normal piebald price and 50% of a albino price, I got them to send pictures and asked about PayPal, waiting for a reply. They also said they have a reference in London so I might ask for the number. They sent pictures which look legit but I will probably ask for pics including today's newspaper for final proof. |

I don't care how cheap they are listing these animals, the reason to buy from a local breeder are long and far out weigh the possible issues with importing from an unknown source.

Posted - 14/09/2012 : 19:06:47 Are we talking £40/50 cheaper or £100's? If its £100's, it's a scam |

Posted - 14/09/2012 : 18:54:56 Sounds like a scam to me, i can't imagine anyone sending anything out before getting full payment. What method of payment have they asked for? |

Posted - 14/09/2012 : 18:54:10 Not something i have done but heard similar ads where they state they supply many contries at discount prices snakes delivered to your door. Basicly its a scam, you would pay up front and never hear from them again |
