So, the 1st jobbie didnt work. A couple of the sods have dropped off Boris in the last few days. Today Im going to do it all again. Which is a bugger cos havent seen any on Sas now or last time. And it's a tad chilly here today so having the windows open will be a pain! Oh well, best get stripping. The vivs, not me lol.

I know some1 that spends hours with a small paint brush to get under the scales with mite lotion
coxcats Posted - 20/09/2012 : 19:45:44
Im going to hoover out the viv tomorrow after work and shove Boris through a kitchen roll tunnel! Then get out the flame thrower!
chrisc Posted - 20/09/2012 : 14:55:11
may just be that they have not come into contact with the adrap hopefully on a few days you wont see anymore that are alive
coxcats Posted - 20/09/2012 : 10:45:17
Im just confused as to why they are still alive. I Ardaped on Monday and oiled on Tuesday so if the ones on him now were from the viv why didnt the Ardap kill them?

Just an update on Eowyns mites. Two treatments of mite off hadn't got rid of them, so last night we gave her a rub down with kitchen roll sprayed with frontline. We got this from the vet the last time we had mites, and was successful, so fingers crossed again.
I'm following the olive oil treatment with interest just encase.

chrisc Posted - 20/09/2012 : 10:27:34
i would leave him untill hes shed before re oiling him
coxcats Posted - 20/09/2012 : 09:58:48
can I oil him again or will it harm his skin?
chrisc Posted - 20/09/2012 : 09:55:31
probably one that was in the viv any on him will have drowned in the oil. the adrap will kill them when they come into contact with it, could hoover out the viv to get. rid of any left in there

Got Boris out and let him slither through some paper towel. A very small mite came off and it was alive! Tearing my hair out now!

Good grief! That's enormous! Boris is now back in his house. I think he is sulking! Fingers crossed this has worked.
chrisc Posted - 18/09/2012 : 20:03:25
its good fun trying to hold them when oiled up isnt it.

coxcats Posted - 18/09/2012 : 19:37:11

chrisc Posted - 18/09/2012 : 19:33:19

coxcats Posted - 18/09/2012 : 17:29:08
