Posted - 07/10/2012 : 10:00:03 As some of you are aware I've been selling all my vivs, I have put my whole collection into rubs to save space.
Now I have taped the thermostat probe to the heatmat is this correct, even with the stat on full im getting temps of 30-31 hot end which is a couple of degrees to cold imo
Thanks Danny |

Posted - 08/10/2012 : 12:36:22 I use duct tape, it holds well but does leave sticky residue on the mat |

Posted - 07/10/2012 : 22:40:00 i would imagine so but electricians tape would be best as it can withstand higher temps, I've used it for a year now and never had to replace it |

Posted - 07/10/2012 : 11:14:16 Ill add some pictures later, my setup is not complete yet, I currently just have the rubs stacked up on each other, im ordering a unit from Ikea over the next couple of weeks,
I can't see any reason why it would not be safe it seems safer to me,

Posted - 07/10/2012 : 10:09:43 Thermometer is under hot hide ontop of aspen directly above the heat mate |

Posted - 07/10/2012 : 10:08:17 Cheers I'll see how it settles it is fluctuating a little atm, I may need a thinner layer of aspen, as long as im doing it correct im sure it will work. |

Where is the thermometer probe?
How long have you had the setup running? Sometimes it can take a few hours or even a day or two to shake down |
