So I fed Sir Cuthbert tonight and whilst eating he bit himself, I think it was just where he was coiled around the rat and as it came to the end of it his body was just there so he bit himself as well. But he kinda got a little stuck on himself I was really worried, but no damage appears to have been done. Is this normal for some snakes to do this?

They are stupid sometimes. No harm no foul I think.
