I use a dimmig stat and a 150w red bulb in my 2 foot and works well

Nope, thats a mat stat and is only rated upto 100w

you need to match or better, exceed the rating of your heat source with the capacity of the stat

.i.e if you have a 200w bulb, you need a stat that can handle the 200w or more or you risk burning out the stat

you want a pp stat for ceramics or a dimming stat for the red bulbs.
the microclimate 100 is an on and off stat for mate so would blow the ceramic after a while

Cheers, would a micro climate 100 be enough?
With a red bulb?

150w ceramic bulb, bulb guard and a stat is all you need.

Avoid the cheap mat stats, they won't cut it with a larger ceramic IMO. Any other stat will be fine. Pulse prop, dimmer or on/off type will work
