Posted - 08/12/2012 : 16:52:22 Mine is mega lazy and only moves once or twice a day either to change hide or to have a drink. I even set up webcam on motion detect trying to catch him in the early hours of the morning..... nothing. Anyone else have a ninja royal they never see or is it just me? |

Posted - 11/01/2013 : 20:27:36 Ripley is normally very sedentary, but recently he's been going crazy in the evenings and at night, crashing around and constantly roaming. A friend suggests this might be breeding behaviour, along with his current (and also unusual) three-week fast. |

Posted - 11/12/2012 : 16:43:55 My royal is fairly content to sit in his hot hide all day and night as far as I can tell. He is however quite active when being handled and does not seem inclined to ball up.

Posted - 11/12/2012 : 14:10:11 Our boy is out and about most nights. He belongs to my son so his viv is in his bedroom. Most nights my son is woken by Nigel crashing and banging around his viv. We had remove some vines because he kept falling off them. Was great at getting up into the vine but was rubbish at coming down lol. The night that he gets fed he will still be out and about crashing around. Oh and he doesn't ball up either don't think he knows how to :) |

Posted - 10/12/2012 : 14:49:26 Three of mine are very active. Once it comes to early evening, they are out and about for a few hours. The other comes out when its time for dinner, or can be seen rummaging around the viv after 11pm |

Posted - 09/12/2012 : 11:53:43 Just had a thought, do you guys have heavily decorated vivs? i have a few big fake plants but doesnt look crowded. Maybe if i pack it out a bit he will be more willing to come out and have a wander and not feel exposed? |

Posted - 09/12/2012 : 11:26:00 Sas is very active. Likes to come out for a good nose. Boris is the lazy one. Ria is out most of the time and likes to wander around, usually settling on the bed. |

Posted - 09/12/2012 : 10:10:50 Mine comes out in the evening for a wander most nights. Sometimes he just sits in view anyway, the other day he was curled up beside his water bowl for half the day =] |

Posted - 08/12/2012 : 18:13:56 My Royal is a pet rock, in fact these days all my snakes are lazy sods and do very little, its pretty much the way they are. A content and 'happy' snake is an immobile one. The key is learning when they do move, mine are like clockwork, the Boa comes out during the day and hides at night, I'm at work so never see her. The Royal appears at night when the lights are off so I never see him, the corn takes a dander late afternoon and early morning, I occasionally catch a glance, the house snake is the most active of my snakes he will come out a couple of times a day or just sit in plain sight chilling out on his log. |
