Hey, currently got my Hoggie in a plastic faun with a heat mat under the faun. I am wanting to move her into a glass exo terra soon. As a Royal owner I am used to ceramics and wooden vivs... So do I keep the heat mat under the glass terrarium, or do I put it inside? (statted obv)

Cheers

Yeah stick it under the glass but I have found the air gap is not needed, (check the manufactures instructions as some *NEED* a air gap). I find the mat heats the glass nicely and stays warm for quite a while after the stat has turned it off :)

Yeah under :) you will get more of a temp decrease, each time the mat is on/off etc..As the heat has to pass through the glass.

Cheers, think the tank is slightly raised to allow for this anyway.

Put it under a glass tank with a gap between the mat and tank to stop the glass from cracking
