Posted - 02/01/2013 : 16:26:32 Our young male royal is 8 months old. He has always been a good eater and weighs 625g. He has missed his last 3 feeds. He seems ok in himself, active at night as always. His viv and temps have not altered in anyway. So I am putting this down to winter fasting and he thinks he is going to breed but was wondering if you would agree with this due to his young age. He comes out like he is going to eat but then looks at the rat and goes all round it then just wants to get out of the viv. Have experienced fasting with our corns before but not with a royal. Thanks x. |

Posted - 09/01/2013 : 22:13:31 I think when he will be hungry he will eat, so don't worry and keep offering. |

Posted - 09/01/2013 : 19:54:48 hey, royals are obviously known to be very picky eaters, i myself have never had a problem, (Yet). if you haven't tried braining, warming the food up etc etc I'd do that, maybe a change of diet?? maybe try a smaller meal, might be more appealing. large mouse maybe. |
