Rambo has just started eating again after fasting for just over a month but I have noticed he hasn't pood, he is also very shy now. He will poke his head out to get water and if he catches eye sight of you will shoot his head back in, he will even peek over the glass before he reaches for the water to see if Im looking at him. When out he seems ok although today he layed on me griping my hand with his tail and burying just his head under my shirt for over an hour completely still whilst watching a film. I'm worried he may have consumed substrate since I've started feeding him in his vivarium as he drags the mouse into his hide

He's not normaly shy but I've noticed today after long suspecting he's gone in to blue I think he's having a slow shed cycle this could explain the teenage behaviour.

Doesn't sound like he's doing anything to worry about. They like to change their perceived routine occasionally just to annoy us.

sound's like he is being a typical shy royal to me, are his temp's ect still the same?
what substrate are you using? i wouldn't be too worried about a bit of substrate being eaten unless it was a huge ammount, had my old royal split a rat an end up with a huge mouth full of aspen but pooed fine a week or 2 later.
as he's not eaten for a month i dought there's much poo to come out yet as they tend to hold on to it
