I'm trying to find the thread which determines roughly the size of rat/mouse to how big the royal is.

Or could anyone tell me.

Gave him his Werner, he struck that hard even my mate who has 4 snakes was shocked. He then scoffed tail first (as is the norm with him) with ease. My mate thinks small rat may be better cos he is fairly wide in girth. I've got 2 more weaned to use then ill up his feed. At minute he's every 7 days is that right?

Yeah that should be ok just make sure that the food is not to big, I have fed my royal slightly larger meals every now again. When my royal was that size if I could find any rats that size I used two rat pups. I stuck to this regime for years during all the size changes. It worked fine. Now I'm lucky if he eats at all. One feed so far this year. He is a pain in the backside

Excellent. I was looking at upping mine but not sure I need to now. My royal weighs about 180g so I assume about 20-30g dinner is ideal? He's on large mice at moment.

There are hundreds of these on here, what excatly is it you need to know,if it's what size food normally around the 10 to 15% of the royals weight so for example my royal weighs 998gms so ideally should feed something around the 100gm mark which from my supplier is a large weiner. Hope that helps.
