Posted - 04/06/2013 : 19:00:48 A snake is a tube of muscle capable of stopping a heart inside an animal, they are strong. Much stronger than we experience in day to day husbandry. Any animal given an opportunity will escape, you have to animal-appropriate escape proof where they live, not so its hard for them to get out but impossible. That means making it impossible for you to get in too, that's how I look at it, if you can open it when it's secured, it's not secured. runs have locking handles they are the best off the shelf solution, but other generic plastic tubs can be secured with something as simple as curtain hooks, you drill a hole throughout the lid edge and tub edge and loop them through, a simple and very effective lock. |
