Hi guys, just wanted to as a quick question on viv set up, focusing on the positioning of the pulse stat probe and thermostat prob in relation to a cermiac heat source. do u feed it through the same place as the heat source and have the probes suspended beside the ceramic bulb, or do u have them held on the bottom of the viv with the aid of a hide on the warm end of the viv, just for future ref when i get around to setting up lecter's viv :)

P.S. the viv i plan to move him into when the time is right is 2ft by 1ft deep by 2ft high. just dont wanna jump right up to a 3ft/4ft tank yan know. and also would a 100W bulb be ample for heating! cheers guys

In my ceramic heated viv I have my probes (pulse and thermometer) fixed to the side wall using a nailed in cable clip just above the substrate level

ive read you can also place the probe in the centre of viv on back wall?

100W should be ok for a 2ft viv.

i drill a hole half way up the back wall inline with the guard/bulb an fix the stat probe there with one of those N shaped wire clip's that have a nail in one side then have the thermometer probe on the floor under the bulb(another small hole at floor level)
yea a 100w would be ok for a 2ft viv but a 150w wouldn't have to work as hard to hold the temp's
