Thinking of getting one but you guys out there that use them do you buy the branded more expensive ones or the basic fleabay ones?

Just going to use one for the hot spot temps in the rubs to compare against what my thermometers are saying

Great for measuring surface temps but utterly incapable of air temp (Ambient)
