I have been asked whether I would take on an unwanted baby (approx 8 wks). As it happens I have a spare 3ft viv as my 4 yr old has just moved into her spangly new home.
I'm thinking that a 3ft viv is gonna be too big for a babe so I'm planning to block half of it off.
Assuming you all view this as a satisfactory possibility, where should I set the temp at ? There's not going to be enough space for a hot end and a cool(er) end is there !

Don't forget that quarantine is very important when introducing a new snake to your collection.

Just a big bit of java wood. I just kept going back to the same pet shop that sold it until I found the shape I wanted. Cost about £15.

oooh I love your big log thingy! Where did you get it?

In my opinion, provided you can totally pack out the viv with decor for your royal to hide in, then 3ft shouldn't be a problem. After all, how would a royal cope in the wild?
I moved my royal which was about 3 months old straight into this 3ft viv.

If you disagree with me then you could always stick it in a rub until it grows a bit?
