The smaller scales can be a pain,I use a rub like said,as they won't stay in a bowl etc.Plus their abit big now, will only really fit in a rub.Which doesn't fit on the scales :P sits on the buttons etc :P
But it works :)

for our bigger Boa we use a set of digital baggage scales. Just persuade her into a big bag and lift the bag up to get the reading.

Thank you for all your replies. Digital, with the ability to add a bowl for the snake, sounds like the way to go.

I use a digital kitchen food scale. Goes up to 12 pounds only but my heaviest snake is just under 7 pounds. It's pretty accurate. I just put a big bowl on top of the scale, reset the weight, then add the snake.

Depends on how big your snake is depends on scales lol my small python gets weighed on Argos digital scales. But not got anything to weigh my 7 foot boa properly.

I've got a £5 set of digital scales, need to upgrade soon though as the bowl I use for my big 'uns means a can't see the readout very well. There's some £15 ones in a Tesco I've got my ryes on though.

Hi I got my electronic scales from argos , think they cost under £10 they've got a bowl that fits on the top which is handy as it keeps the snake still enough to get a reading .
