Posted - 27/09/2013 : 15:38:26 The smaller scales can be a pain,I use a rub like said,as they won't stay in a bowl etc.Plus their abit big now, will only really fit in a rub.Which doesn't fit on the scales :P sits on the buttons etc :P But it works :) |

Posted - 27/09/2013 : 00:21:24 for our bigger Boa we use a set of digital baggage scales. Just persuade her into a big bag and lift the bag up to get the reading. |

Posted - 26/09/2013 : 15:48:03 Thank you for all your replies. Digital, with the ability to add a bowl for the snake, sounds like the way to go. |

Posted - 26/09/2013 : 06:37:10 I use a digital kitchen food scale. Goes up to 12 pounds only but my heaviest snake is just under 7 pounds. It's pretty accurate. I just put a big bowl on top of the scale, reset the weight, then add the snake. |

Posted - 25/09/2013 : 20:13:13 I've got a £5 set of digital scales, need to upgrade soon though as the bowl I use for my big 'uns means a can't see the readout very well. There's some £15 ones in a Tesco I've got my ryes on though. |

Posted - 25/09/2013 : 19:50:31 Hi I got my electronic scales from argos , think they cost under £10 they've got a bowl that fits on the top which is handy as it keeps the snake still enough to get a reading . |
