Posted - 08/11/2013 : 12:07:00 I know a lot of people say tail wagging is a sign of giving the male a come on, but I have also read the opposite.
What your views on female tail wagging guys?
The reason I ask is I had some of them out whilst cleaning(a female 600g and two <200g male hatchies) and she was doing a hell of a lot of tail wagging at them. Obviously I will not be letting her see any larger males as she is ways to small but surely it wouldnt have been a come on would it. I just thought it was interesting and would raise the question. |

Posted - 10/11/2013 : 11:34:11 My female has only ever done it when she was in with my male for breeding last year. Other than that I've never seen her do it again. Another point maybe to add is when I put her and my male together in his viv she didn't do it, but when I put my male in her viv she did. I don't know whether it's also a bit of a territorial sign as well? That's the only reason I could think of.
However my boyfriend has a 2 year old female and we had her out last week and she started wagging her tail for the first time, and there were no other snakes around male or otherwise. So maybe she just knows it's that time of year? Lol |
