Hi to all, I have kept 2 corns for a few yrs now with no problems at all.
Went to local pet shop about 4 weeks ago to purchase my first Female normal royal.

Unfortunately my Wife and daughter(who both love snakes)came to the shop too...

I done a silly thing which I keep kicking myself about as follows:

...Fell in love with a Male Pastel and wife and daughter fell in love with 2 normal females (sisters).

...Shop keeper done deal in front of my 9 yr old to take all 3 and the heart strings got tugged (By her and the wife)and I caved in against my better judgement.

...Came home with 3 Pythons which 2 fed a week later and one hasn't since I got her. None have fed for 2 weeks now and the female 4 weeks.

...I Feel terrible as I knew I should only get one at a time and learn the Python ways.

Temps around 32°C, Humidity about 62 to 65%. The Male is always out moving around and loves coming out, one female is the same always comes to the glass if I turn the living room lights on but the other stays tucked away.

I "Now" know its not ideal as the Male weighs around 340g is in a 50l Rub and the 2 Females around 160g are sharing a 3ft Viv. Both have tons of covering and plenty of hides.

What size RUB should they be in?
I will be going to staples one eve this week and purchase 3.

Are the temps and humidity readings ok?

Any other info will be 100% appreciated, you cant kick me any harder than I have done myself though...
Once I know the size of the RUB's needed I will get some wood to make up a cabinet to keep them more in the dark.

Obviously I love all my snakes and getting it right from now is what matters..
Thanks in advance
Sean

My first royal didn't at for 10 weeks when I got her. My latest addition has fed every week since I got her.
They are all different so don't stress about it

Apart from separating the 2 females which would be my personal preference, then really I can't see anything you've actually done wrong, kicking boot remains in the wardrobe.

Royals are fun when it comes to food, they can go ages without needing to eat so will on occasion just not eat, most of the time for no reason but as they are new they are probably just getting used to their new surroundings as the temps etc are spot on.

Once they get feeding regularly they'll soon be piling on the pounds, growing like weeds and they're a really great snake for getting to grips with stronger, heavier bodied snakes and most of them are tame as puppy dogs.

Peronally I'd use a pair of 21 litre rubs for the females. The hot spots and humidity are fine.

I wouldn't worry about the feeding too much royals can be tricky to get feeding when you first get them but once you've got them settled into their homes they'll be happy enough, just keep track of the weights of them all, keep handling to a minimum and give them time :)
