just a quick question that maybe a bit controversial but is it legal in the uk to humanly kill rats yourself to feed them to your snake? |

Bit of a grey area I think, my understanding is that it's legal as long as it's done as a last resort and for the good of the snake (i.e. the snake will die from starvation if it is not fed live), thereby preventing unnecessary suffering of the snake. It is not legal if done just for the sake of it, since it causes unnecessary suffering to the prey item if the snake will take pre-killed. |

yes it's legal long as their is no un nessesary suffering ie freezing them.
co2 chamber's are a humane way to euthanise them or a blow to the back of the neck to sever the spinal cord |
