Looking for some advice, I think I am going through the start of my first experience with male fasting he last ate a jumbo mouse on Xmas eve and his weight was 864 grams on the 9/1/14 and I weight him again to night and his weight is 858 grams,no poop or urates either,I know it's not a great amount of weight to loose in 4 weeks but just to put my mind at rest does this sound about right.thanks.

Im so glad I read this thread. 2 of my Royals, Boris (about 4 1/2) and Ria (nearly 2) haven't eaten since October! Boris occasionally shows interest but just leaves it. Ria spends all her time in her house under the kitchen roll! Sas ate this week! Yay! prior to that he has been very fussy!

He`ll be fine, you`ll know when they go into a real fast as they become very inactive, almost into a form of hibernation, they don`t even seem to drink and spend what seems to be all of their time in the warm end.
if yours is doing this then its easy to notice when he wants food as he`ll become active again. If your going to offer food keep it short and sweet so your not giving him to much grief.
By the way if it makes you feel good i`ve had one go over 8 months before.

Sounds fine to me and he has only gone about 6/7 weeks so isnt realy overly long for a royal and the time of year it is probs explains alot aswell he will be fine and aslong as your temps and husbendry is ok he will eat agian at some point :) they can go alot longer the longest fast ive experianced was 13 weeks i know how you feel it can get realy frustrating especialy if you are pretty new to royals and not experianced there huffy ways :) also if you are offering every 7 days atm id cut back to every 14 and refrain from handling as much as possible just till he feeds agian
