Posted - 06/06/2014 : 23:59:29 My snake has shedded within the last 24/48 hrs he hasnt fed for about 2 weeks but he isnt a young snake and i know this is quite typical around shedding.
My worry is that i just got i to bed snd i heard a noise like no other. At first i thought tbe electrics were going heywire so i quickly put the light on and noticed my royal being sick. The weird thing is his sick looks a bit like his poo. Also, ehy would he be sick so long after feeding?
He has a thermostat and its always between 29/30c.
Many thanks

Posted - 18/06/2014 : 16:01:25 It was strange whatever it was. It looked like hed recoiled and was just finishing being sick.
He seems ok now and wants feeding. |

Posted - 09/06/2014 : 00:00:44 Regurgitation would be very strange to happen after such a long time, the stomach should have been cleared of food if it hasn't eaten for a few weeks. Another tell tale sign it may not have been regurge is you'd have mentioned the smell I'm sure of it. It's so bad it burns the nostrils.
I do know that a snake going to the toilet normally can make an almighty noise, farts and splatters all around, it may be the reason it appeared to be poo and that's because it was.
Oh and 32-33°C is the hot spot temp to aim for. |

Posted - 08/06/2014 : 09:51:01 But did you actually see your royal regurgitate? |

Posted - 07/06/2014 : 20:03:52 When i looked he was all "gassed out" like hed exhaled all his air. The regurgitation is also pretty small. It looks like rabbit sized droppings.
As i say, the noise was immense |

Posted - 07/06/2014 : 17:16:51 Did you actually see your Royal do this or was it in the viv/rub when you looked? Very much doubt any creature could regurgitate after 2 weeks. I have heard Royals brak wind which can be suprisingly loud considering their size. |
