Mr Snake was too big for her hides so I moved her up to bigger ones. I saw that many people use tupperware boxes for hides so I used 2 identical Quality Street tubs. I cut a hole in the side and smoothed it down, but she doesn't want to go in.

Is this something that will take a while or if she refuses now is it unlikely for her to ever take to her new home?

She is in a vivarium btw.

I'll give her another day or so before trying to feed.

Good call, Chris. When the sun came up this morning she went into her new hide. Maybe it took a while to get used to the purple.

So you think I should stick with it for another while then...ok. Thanks.

In the meantime, if anyone else has any suggestions, please share.

That's what I thought so I gave them a good wash. Tupperware often stinks of plastic so I figured it should be ok. I certainly can't smell the chocs.

Not a problem I've come across myself - my guys will hide anywhere dark and cosy - but I wonder if the containers still smell of the chocs?
