I am looking into the possibility of building a rack as my collection of royals is increasing and i will run out of space soon, so a rack seems to me to be the more practical way to go..

whats the best way to build one and what size rubs will i need for adults and also hatchlings, will it be best to have two stacks one for adults and one for youngsters?

also what is the best way to heat them all..?

thanks;-)

Hi Danny, thanks for the link, i did look at these before, but i am a bit concerned with them being so open and know what royals are like..

Possibly getting one made, just waiting for the bloke to get back to me;-)

Thanks for the link though...

this is a bit of an ask now..lol

what do i need to make this apart from the wood..
would it need to be screwed together and how would the shelves be supported would it be those little things that you get on cupboards to hold them up? would they hold a royals weight ok?

and anything else i need to know..lol.

could not find anything on ebay and dont have four hundred for a rack..

ok, found a couple of storage units i like in the argos catalogue and they might work if i coud fit something between them.

But my worry is , if they boxes are cheapo plastic could they warp or even melt with heat cable or mats?

did you make your own racks?

god i so wished you lived closer..lol..

do you know anyone down here who could make me one to hold ten 33l rubs?

Heat mats are popular and are just as easy to get the temp right as in a viv, just put the probe directly on the mat.

Dave how and where would you fit the heat cable?

I am probably going to have to get one made cos i think it might be to techy for me..lol..

but i am fast running out of space..

trying to find someone down here to build one in case i am incapable of doing so..lol..which is likely..
