I feed every 5 days up to 400g.
Even if they are half way to the 400g mark within 4 months of being born? |

My 09 just weighed in at 200g and is on large mice now every 7 days. He was on every 5 days but he is a piggy and growing fast so putting him on 7 days
My thats a nice snake and growing well Mine is 100g born 04/09(weighed last week).

Posted - 06/08/2009 : 12:02:33 If you don't have any scales a rule of thumb is to aim for prey about the same thickness as the biggest part of the snake. 5 - 10 days sounds about right to me, but when I got my royal she was already about four feet so someone experienced with a younger one may know better. |

rule of thumb is 10% of there body weight, so if for instance he was a 100g you would want to offer food around 10g
my 08 males are on large weaners weighing roughly 75g
it does not matter if it goes slightly over on weight either..
if you dont have scales then look at something slightly bigger than the fattest part of his belly..
when was he born? and did he come with any feeding or shedding records?
