HI guys
Tried a second feed last night, feeling very positive after the first successful strike feed. This time he struck even better than the last time and coiled round it nicely. After a minute or so of constricting it he decided to just let it go and proceeded to show no further interest.
Any comments or ideas as to when I should try and feed him again. Will be six days since his last feed on a small mouse.

HI matty
thanks for the input. I spoke to the guy in the pet shop and he said to wait till he was in his hide and dangle it in front of the entrance and he should take no problem so that is the plan now.

hi russm

i have 2 royals and rambo eats his dinner with no probs

but like yours, rocky is what i call a shy eater he strikes for it and constricts for a minute or so but then leaves it, so what i then do is place a towel over the rub and leave for 20 mins and its gone.

not saying this will work for you but maybe worth a try as i have to do this everytime and so far its been succesful everytime

I tried re heating it a couple of times, even leaving it in with him for a while but no interest.

I would have re-heated and tried again straight away.

However, I would now leave it 5 days to try again as the moment has passed.
