Posted - 20/08/2009 : 08:37:21 I am keen to get my royal onto rats asap but I was wanting to know how a rat fluff compares size wise to a small mouse, wich he takes happily. If these are to different in size is there a rat that would be more suitable? |

Posted - 21/08/2009 : 21:37:39 Hey Remmy That is a usefull piece of info. My snake only weighs 92g. could not be feeding it food that is heavier than it is. I will maybe stick to small mice and only buy one pup or fluff to see what size they are. |

Posted - 21/08/2009 : 17:05:48 I have noticed different shops call their rats different things. The shop where i get my food from sells the rat pups as a bigger size than fluffs. The "rat pups" i am buying for Tilly weigh around 100g |

Posted - 20/08/2009 : 10:28:58 Rat Pups are probably the equivalent and a good place to start a Royal.
As GP says, its very difficult to tell without actually seeing them though. A small Rat Fluff may be fine. |

Posted - 20/08/2009 : 09:30:27 different places grade their rats and mice in different size bands... i'd suggest weighing the prey items you currently feed then searching for a similar sized rat equivalent |
